 Our Story |

Our company was founded in 1998. It was started by two computer enthusiasts
who wanted to make a difference in software development.
Our first family of products was designed to offer high performance zip compression tools,
both for developers and end-users. We built from scratch a highly optimized zip compression engine,
fully compatible with industry-standard PKZip Deflate algorithm. In addition, we have developed a
simple extension to the standard format called Zip8, which overcomes the main limitation of
4 GB maximum file size.
In fact, BIGSPEED Zip DLL was and still is the smallest and the fastest zip compression library.
Our zip utilities were the first ones on the market with full text search inside archived files.
And we are still the only provider of technology for remote access to zip files on web servers.
In 2005, the company changed its name to BIGSPEED Computing and a new long-term strategy was adopted.
The company's focus was shifted to developing network protocols and applications for private use.

We believe that the Internet is one of the greatest technological achievements in human history.
And at the same time, we believe that the Internet has much bigger potential for private communications.
We have developed a software framework for easy implementation of proprietary networking solutions
over Internet. Our message-oriented protocol with information flow control and transparent compression
is the backbone of our communication applications and components. Data security is provided by
128-bit AES encryption with crypto keys without need of digital certificates.
BIGSPEED Computing is a privately held company based in Canada that is run by a group of software developers around the globe.
